Task 2
Read the following comment made by a teacher and reply to her queries in the comments section of this posting
"Cyberbullying is a comparatively new phenomenon that has recently come into being in my country, and, fortunately, it hasn't become popular so far. It doesn't mean that we should ignore the opportunity or it's not high time to take preventive measures.
In my opinion, the first thing that should be done is to get teachers and parents aware of the phenomenon and get them aware of the ways of dealing with it. It can be a topic for discussion on a teachers' and parents' meetings. I'm not sure that it's worth speaking about cyberbullying with pupils unless the thing is there as it may lead to opposite effect, i.e. pupils may start cyberbulling.
Teachers and parents should be on alert and once cyberbullying is there, they should provide psychological support to the target of bullying, find out the tools which are used for this and teach the pupil how to report about bullying if it is done via Internet or report to the mobile provider if it's done via mobile telephone.
As it's difficult to control the situation and the offenders may be unknown, role-plays or simulations on the topic might help to get pupils understand the negative nature of this act.
Do you think it's worth talking to pupils about responsible behaviour in cyber world before cyberbullying becomes a problem at their school?" (Sandra, 44)

As this teacher said cyberbullying is a relatively new phenomenon, which is growing around the world. It not only affects students, but also teachers.
We as teachers should work with parents to find different methods of dealing with this problem in a collaborative way.
In my opinion, we need to talk to our students about the consequences and risks of this kind of bullying as well as about responsible behaviour in the use of the web.
Unfortanutely, Cyberbullying exists, and the only thing we can do is to get information on the issue and see how, we as teachers, can help not only parents, but also pupils.
I agree with the teacher, we should talk to parents to make them aware of the consequences of cyberbullying. Although cyberbullying might not be a problem in our country, I think we should let students know about it, because if they happen to suffer from it, at least they know what it is about and they will have someone to resort to.
On the other hand, as the teacher says in the article, it might cause the opposite effect. Anyway, I feel it is better if they know about cyberbullying, even though it does not happen in the place where they live. It is always better to know so when it happens they have the tools to "fight" cyberbullies.
I agree with Gise when she says that as we are teachers, we should work with parents to find different
methods of dealing with this problem in a collaborative way.
It is really important to help parents to develop methods to help their children to surf the web in a safe way beacuse this will consequently allow them to help their own children.
I also agree with Gisela and Gabrielas' opinions because it is better to work with the help of parents, and I absolutely agree with the purpose of talking to pupils about responsible behavior in cyber world. Personally, I think that it is a good choice to give students the appropriate tools to develop in cyber world before they enter into it. If students know the risks and the consequences of cyberbullying and other threats that are available in the Web, they may rethink their acts before they do them.
I agree with Gaby when she said that we should get information on the issue and see how we can help parents. And with Vero when she said that it is a good choice to give students the appropriate tools to develop in cyber world before they enter into it. I believe that it is very important to work with our students about the risks and consequences of cyberbullying on others.
